What is Clean Advertising?
Clean Advertising, also known as reverse graffiti, is a street advertising format where your message is cleaned into dirty pavements using a stencil.
Instead of adding ink or paint, we remove dirt to create contrast. The result is a bold, eco-friendly, and highly visible advert that stands out in the real world.

Frequently asked questions
What size are the adverts?
Typically around 750mm, roughly the size of a paving slab.
Does it work on all surfaces?
Best on standard paving stones and light concrete. Not suitable for tarmac, granite or block paving.
Is it legal?
It involves cleaning rather than marking, so it does not damage the surface and is generally treated differently from traditional graffiti.
Do I need permission?
Campaigns are typically executed without prior council approval. If required, permissions can be arranged separately.
How long does it last?
It fades naturally over time depending on footfall and weather.
Can you remove it?
Yes, removal can be arranged if needed.
What is the minimum campaign size?
Typically 25 adverts per city.
How much does it cost?
From £1,800 + VAT for 25 adverts, depending on location and scale.
